Homemade Sweetened Condense Milk

Lately, I’m using a lot of condense milk to try and error an eggless recipes. As for that, keeping a stock in my pantry is a must. Until one night I’m out of stock, no condense milk! I keep thinking how in the world I can forget about the most important ingredient? Don’t panic. I remember I have read about a homemade version how to make your own sweetened condense milk in malay's blog. Lucky me I did note down the recipe. Many thanks to the contributor of the recipe, you save my day!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Milk powder
- 2/3 cup castor sugar
- 1/3 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup butter or margerine
Method
- Place warm water in a blender followed by castor sugar, milk powder and butter or margerine. Blend all ingredients together until the texture is smooth, thick and creamy. Occasionally, scrape the side of the blender to get all the ingredients mixed perfectly.
- The homemade condense milk can be use right away or can be store and kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 5 days.
The beauty of these homemade version of condense milk is you
can adjust the sweetness by take control the amount of sugar and plus it’s
cheaper compare to cans that is sold at local grocery store.
